It figures. The winner of the Moveon.org Voter Fund contest (about which I've written before in this weblog), has been denied airtime during the Super Bowl. Even though the organization raised the unbelievably huge amount of money necessary to air it [disclosure: I was one of the thousands who contributed], CBS has refused it. Yet again we learn (when will we learn this for good, I wonder?) that there really is no such thing as "free speech" if by that you mean access to commercial television. (Even paid speech!)
