Honesty in language
Katherine Allen has
an interesting piece up at the
DFA blog today where she tries to sort through some distinctions between "framing" issues in honest ways, and "spin" or "propaganda." I like what she's trying to do, and I like her references to
George Lakoff's work even more. Framing is something that all of us engage in, but preachers and pastoral agents seek to do so very deliberately and we ought to be more discerning about HOW we do so.
