Saint John's Bible
I've just gotten to
Saint John's University, where I'll be spending the next four days working with a group of religious educators from across the country. We are gathered to explore ways to learn with the new
Saint John's Bible. I think it might be the first
hand written illuminated bible since the advent of the printing press. If not, it's certainly one of the very few, and it's a beautiful work of prayer and art. You can
see some of it online here. Make sure you check out the parts of the website that include links to
internet resources, and to
illuminations sent in by groups of kids.
