Saint John's Bible

I've just gotten to Saint John's University, where I'll be spending the next four days working with a group of religious educators from across the country. We are gathered to explore ways to learn with the new Saint John's Bible. I think it might be the first hand written illuminated bible since the advent of the printing press. If not, it's certainly one of the very few, and it's a beautiful work of prayer and art. You can see some of it online here. Make sure you check out the parts of the website that include links to internet resources, and to illuminations sent in by groups of kids. Posted by hessma at July 29, 2005 03:51 PM
