Rating professors

Wired News has an interesting piece about the various websites where students can rate professors (particularly "ratemyprofessors.com"). I decided it would be fun to see which, if any, of us at Luther has been rated. I was intrigued to discover that my colleague Jim Nestingen has received the most ratings (all positive), and that Matt Skinner was the only one of us who received a rating of "hot" -- I wonder what he'd think of that? (smile). Alas, I was not listed, nor are most of my colleagues. I suspect that this is a site that is mostly attended to by undergraduates. It does raise the interesting question, however, of whether "outside" sites might be yet another useful way to also gather information on the work we do as faculty. Mary,
When I looked through Bethel's ratings, women were rated significantly lower than men. I've wondered about this - is it true for Luther, I wonder?
