Hope
Lately there have been so many awful things going on (
suicides at Guantanamo, ever increasing deaths in Iraq,
Haditha, etc.) that it can be hard to find hope in the present political situation. I just got done reading
this powerful post from
dailyKos. It's a report from their first ever "
yearlyKos" -- an attempt to bring together many of the people who regularly blog and lurk on the dailyKos site in person to brainstorm and work on building a better and stronger progressive presence. The post gives me a lot of hope, and reminds me that it is the building of community that really makes a difference, and makes change possible.
