Doonesbury's URLs
Having been out of town for several days, I'm only now catching up with my daily reading (which includes
Boondocks,
Doonesbury and
For Better or Worse). I was intrigued to discover that
Doonesbury has started to point people off to URLs they've noted as the "Honest Voices Reading List" (tm). Today's strip (
October 12, 2004) points off to a
Wall Street Journal reporter's email to his friends, which has been included in the
Poynter Institute's online blogspace. It's a compelling, and truly disturbing description of life in Iraq right now. I don't know why it hit me so hard -- I mean, I know the situation there is awful -- but the first hand account provoked tears for me. Kudos to
Gary Trudeau for figuring out a way to embed even more content in his strip!
